John W. Campbell, Jr., advises individuals, entrepreneurs and privately held companies on developing and achieving their strategic business goals. Clients in commercial real estate, insurance, retail, and food and legal services, as well as artists and nonprofits, rely on him to grow and protect their businesses.
John regularly counsels clients on issues ranging from business formation issues, to the acquisition and sale of commercial real estate, to licensing issues, to employment issues, to preserving and protecting naming rights. His background as an insurance defense litigator bolsters his ability to advocate for commercial and general litigation matters as well.
He is also skilled at advising companies on elevating their data management and cybersecurity preparedness. By viewing these issues through a business lens, he helps companies improve their training and policies to prevent data breaches, hacks and social engineering hacks. He is a proud member of InfraGard, a cooperative effort that includes the FBI and the private sector. The private sector component of InfraGard is represented nationally by the National InfraGard Members Alliance, and locally by the InfraGard Members Alliances throughout the country.
John is frequently invited to speak to in-house practice panels on cybersecurity, real estate, licensing, regulatory, general business and contractual issues, and has spoken to the Chicago Bar Association.
He serves as a director for Space Fund NFP, a public charity that promotes and supports the advancement of public appreciation of the arts, culture and civic initiatives. He is also a director for the Center for Law and Social Work, a public charity that provides adoption and adult guardianship services.
